WHAT FACILITIES ARE THERE?

Facilities will vary depending on the coaching course or tour that you choose, most will have toilets nearby, some will have stores and cafe’s.

Can I use my own bike?

Yes
For a PMBI coaching lesson you will be using your own bike unless otherwise arranged to hire one of Specialized electric assist bikes.

For all of our tours you will be provided with one of or Specialized electric assist bikes.

IS THERE an age limit?

Yes, minimum age is 13 for all of our services, children under 15 will require a guardian to be present.

WILL THE COACHING COURSE RUN IF IT’S RAINING?

Yes, the course runs rain or shine. With the exceptions of extreme weather and/or lightning, the course runs so make sure you have dressed appropriately and have spare clothes if required. Spare socks and gloves go a long way on rainy, cold days.

WEATHER ON TOURS

Be ready to ride, regardless of weather; be sure to dress appropriately for conditions and bring spare clothes as required. The course or tour will not be cancelled due to rain or hot/cold weather. Only severe weather conditions such as heavy rain (which damages the trails), lightning storms or extreme heat waves, may result in a course being rescheduled. Spare socks and gloves go a long way on rainy, cold days.

BE ON TIME

Please be punctual and arrive ready to listen, learn and ride! Plan your journey to the course or tour location and if in doubt, take extra time to avoid being late. We will take up to an hour for lunch each day, between approximately 12pm – 1pm. Please bring food or money for food, depending on course / tour location.

EQUIPMENT / CLOTHING FOR COACHING LESSON?

• Working phone
• Suitable riding clothing
• Bike helmet
• Bike gloves, knee protection (recommended)
• Small backpack or hip-pack to carry these things…
           • spare tubes and patches/tubeless puncture kit
           • tyre levers and pump
           • multi-tool and chain tool, split link
           • rain jacket/spare clothes based on weather
           • water & snacks
            • lunch, or money for lunch

WHAT CLOTHING SHOULD I BRING OR WEAR ON A TOUR?

Please dress appropriately for the weather/temperature. Shorts and T-shirt are fine with a sweater or light pants/track pants/tights for cooler days. We recommend long shorts, no open toed shoes, no sandals or flip flops.

Bring a back pack with water and snacks. We will be riding in all weather, so please be prepared with rain gear and sunscreen!
